Overview

Using the Command Line Interface

To access the NAS 8000 command line interface, you must first log in to the NAS server using
a serial connection or telnet.
First, connect to the system.
To connect using a serial connection, use a terminal emulator with the following settings:
To connect using telnet, enter the following command on a remote computer:
where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the HP NAS 8000 system.
To log in to the system:

Bits per second: 9600
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Press enter until you see the system name and login prompt.
Log in as "admin". No password is required until you set one using the command line
interface or the Command View NAS web interface.
