2. Using the Answering Machine

The UX-84's built-in answering machine allows you to receive both
voice messages and fax transmissions while you are out.
To use the answering machine,
record an outgoing message and
then set the reception mode to A.M.
when you go out. The UX-84 can
store up to 24 minutes of voice
messages (including OGMs) with no
documents in memory.

Recording an Outgoing Message

The outgoing message (OGM) is the greeting that the machine plays
after answering a call to inform callers that they can leave a message
or send a fax.
Example:
"Hello. You've reached the ABC company. No one is available to take
your call right now. Please leave a message after the beep or press
your facsimile Start key to send a fax. Thank you for calling."
