Console access

The Aggregator has two management ports available for system access: a serial console port and an
out-of-bounds (OOB) port.

Serial Console

A universal serial bus (USB) (A-Type) connector is located on the front panel. The USB can be defined as
an External Serial Console (RS-232) port, and is labeled on the Aggregator. The USB is on the lower side
of an installed Aggregator, as you face the I/O side of the M1000e chassis

To access the console port, follow these steps.
Step Task
1 Connect the USB connector to the front panel. Use the RS-232 Serial Line cable to connect the Aggregator
console port to a terminal server.
2 Connect the other end of the cable to the DTE terminal server.
