DIMM Replacement Procedure (4H4282-49 and 4H4283-49)
Caution: Observe all Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions when handling sensitive
electronic equipment.

To remove and replace the DRAM SIMM on the 4H4282‐49 or 4H4283‐49, refer to
Figure B‐8 and Figure
Removing the DRAM SIMM
Note: Prior to removing the DRAM SIMM in a 4H4282-49 or 4H4283-49, you must remove
the Network Expansion Module to gain access to the DRAM SIMM memory and
connector.

If there is an optional NEM installed on the main board of the 4H4282‐49 or
4H4283‐49, proceed to step 1a. Otherwise proceed to step 2.
a.
Remove and save the three screws attaching the NEM to the standoff on the main
board and front panel.
b. Lift the NEM straight up and off the two module connectors on the main PC
board.
