Follow this procedure to load a stack (max. 0.4 in./10 mm stack height) of letter-size
plain paper in the multi-purpose tray:

Remove the multi-purpose tray cover
from the unit.

Prepare a stack of paper by tapping
it on a flat surface to even its edges.

Open the paper guides to the
approximate width of the stack.

Insert the stack into the multi-purpose
tray q (print side facing you and top
edge first), then adjust the paper
guides to the width of the paper w.
• Make sure there are no gaps between
the paper guides and the paper stack.
