A tie trunk on which the originating end transmits an off-
hook signal and waits for the remote end to send back a
signal (a wink) that it is ready for transmission.
(zero code suppression) A binary coding scheme that
ensures a data stream contains at least a minimum number
of information bits (1s) for receiver synchronization.
