Installation Tips

NOTE. There is no built-in driver for Integrated SAS in the Red Hat Enterprise
Linux 4.0 EM64T Update3. You need an external USB floppy drive for applying
driver during the OS installation.
Since Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0 EM64T Update3 cannot recognize the
1.
integrated SAS, you need to make a driver diskette from the EasyBUILD
7.1 build 300 first before the installation.
Type linux dd update when the prompt boot: appears at the start.
2.
Please select the sda as the Driver Disk Source.
3.
Follow the instruction to load the integrated SAS driver from the driver
4.
diskette.
After loading the driver for integrated SAS, please follow the normal
5.
procedure to finish the installation.
