Restoring the system configuration settings

Follow these steps to restore the configuration settings from a backup.
1.
Verify that the FTP service is running on the host workstation.
2.
Log in to the switch as the admin user.
3.
Shut down the switch.
4.
Issue the switchDisable command.
5.
Issue the configDownload command.
6.
Follow the onscreen prompts, for example:
Server Name or IP Address [host]: 192.168.15.42
User Name: [None} user21
File Name [config.txt]: config-file.txt
Password: xxxxxxxx
The download complete prompt appears, indicating a successful download.
7.
Reboot the switch by issuing the reboot command.

Upgrading firmware

The following firmwareDownload command upgrades both CPs in either the Core Switch
2/64 or the Director 2/128. If you want to upgrade a single CP only, use the -s option.
Issuing this command causes the active CP to reset. This reset causes a momentary disruption
to devices attached to both switch 0 and switch 1 and requires that you restart existing telnet
sessions.

FirmwareDownload has started on Standby CP. It may take up to 10
minutes.
FirmwareDownload has completed successfully on Standby CP.
Standby CP reboots.
Standby CP boots up.
Standby CP booted up with new firmware.
