Redundant configuration

Figure 89
shows an example of a simple redundant configuration. The configuration shown in
shows that old routers can be removed one by one. For example, FC router 2 can be replaced with the
new FC router. You are expected to maintain the connections to the edge fabrics and the other router,
same as with old router. Configuration parameters described in
page 545 should also be preconfigured on the new routers and match with the routers being replaced. The
backbone fabric ID of the new FC router should be the same as that of the replaced router.
The same procedure can be repeated for FC router 1.
NOTE:
During the swap, traffic flowing through the ISL is affected.
