Suggested action
If the location code identifies a slot:
1. Reseat the adapter and restart the blade server.
2. Replace the adapter.
3. Check the http://www.ibm.com/support Web site for
system firmware updates. Apply the latest update, if
one is available.
4. If an update is not available, contact a system
administrator for assistance.
If the location code identifies the system, replace the
system-board assembly. Contact a service support
representative for assistance.
If there is no adapter in the PCI slot in the blade server,
replace the system-board assembly. Contact a service
support representative for assistance.
If there is an adapter in the PCI slot in the blade server,
perform the following steps:
1. Turn off the blade server.
2. Remove the adapter; then, turn on the blade server.
3. If the problem no longer exists, replace the adapter

Replace the system-board assembly. Contact a service
support representative for assistance.
NVRAM errors are caused by low-battery voltage or
power outages that occur during normal system usage.
Except for firmware error code 2580000, these error
codes are warnings that the NVRAM data content had to
be reestablished, and do not require any component
replacement, unless the problem remains. When one of
these error occurs, any system customization (for
example, the startup device sequence) has been lost.
If the problem remains, replace the battery in the blade
server. For additional information, see the Hardware
Maintenance and Troubleshooting Guide.
Note: After you replace the battery, you must reset the
system date and time through the operating system that
you installed.
If the problem still remains, replace the system-board
assembly. Contact a service support representative for
assistance.
