Read Score
When a user uses the HandReader a number appears in the display.
The number on the display reflects how accurately the user is placing his/her
hand on the platen. Scores that vary greatly between low and high numbers are
indicative of inconsistent hand placement. Scores above 50 are indicative of
improper hand placement or of a drastic change in the physical appearance of
the hand.
When this occurs, emphasize the importance of sliding the hand onto the platen
and keeping the hand flat. Re-training and practice should lower a user's score.
It might be necessary to change a user's sensitivity if the user has a mild
disability. Re-enrollment might be necessary to create a new user template.
