This chapter describes how to make software adjustments using either the IBM
Point-of-Sale Device Diagnostics (POSS for Windows, RS-485 and USB only) or
diskettes and other resources that are available from the Retail Store Solutions
Web site. See "Resources on the Internet" on page 44 for more information.
Depending on your operating system, you can use the following to make software
adjustments to the impact (document insert) station of a SureMark printer:
v IBM POS Device Diagnostics
v Reference/service diskettes
This utility is for RS-485 and USB only.
1. Start the IBM Point-of-Sale Device Diagnostics application from the Windows
Start menu.
2. Click 4610 Printer.
3. Click Device Utility.
4. Select the appropriate tab for the desired adjustment (see Table 2 on page 36).
