Once a virtual site has been set up and is accessible through your Web
browser, you are ready to publish content via FrontPage. There are two
methods of publishing your data on the website via FrontPage: creating a new
site and copying a Web to the virtual site.
Creating a new site
You can open the virtual webpage on the site and begin editing it by changing
the text, or inserting pictures and hyperlinks.
1. Start FrontPage.
2. Click on File, and then click Open.
3. Type the name of the virtual site in the file name field, for example
http://<VirtualSiteName>, and then click Open.
The first time that the site is accessed you are prompted for a user name
and password and must use the site administrator ID and password of
the virtual site to access it. FrontPage creates a Web folder for the site,
and the directory and file structure of the site are displayed.
4. Find and double-click the file name
virtual home page for the virtual site. FrontPage opens this file to edit.
5. Make any changes to the file and save it. If you have added pictures,
then you will be prompted to save those pictures to the website as well.
