You can access a directory of employee names and phone numbers on the
Cisco Unified IP Conference Station by using a Lightweight Directory Access
Protocol 3 (LDAP3) enterprise directory such as the default Cisco Unified
CallManager Corporate Directory. Before users can access the directory, you must
configure the directory on Cisco Unified CallManager.
If you use a custom enterprise directory, you must use the same XML format,
script flow, HTML method and action that the default Cisco Unified CallManager
Corporate Directory uses. The Cisco Unified IP Conference Station 7936 does not
support all the XML tags, URLs, and action tags that are listed in the Cisco IP
Phone Services Software Developer Kit (SDK).
To use the corporate directory, you must have users entered into a Lightweight
Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) directory configured with
Cisco Unified CallManager.
To configure the directory, follow these steps:
Procedure
Open Cisco Unified CallManager
Select User > Global Directory.
Search for users in the system.
To add a new user, click Add a New User.
Add any desired users.
Refer to the online help in the Cisco Unified CallManager Administration
application for details, or refer to the Cisco Unified CallManager Administration
Guide and the Cisco Unified CallManager System Guide.
