Hydraulic System

• Always stop the engine when servicing.
• A machine that has been running is very hot. Allow the machine and oil to cool
before servicing, or severe burns may result.

Hydraulic Oil

• When hydraulic oil level gets low, air can enter the hydraulic system and impairs
its performance. Make certain to fill the hydraulic system with correct grade of
oil to the specified level.
• Dispose of the drained oil properly. Check the national and local regulations for
discarding engine oil.
NOTE
• To obtain correct reading, check oil level before starting the engine. Hot oil
expands in volume, and correct reading cannot be obtained.
• Always check oil level on a level surface.
• Change suction filter when changing hydraulic oil.
• Oil to use and amount: see Page 57.
