BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
Measure the distance that the
lever moves before the brake
begins its braking action. When
the brake is completely closed,
at the extreme of the brake lev-
er, it should be circa 0.4 in (10
mm).
To adjust the clearance:

Work on the set screw «1».
Use the brake repeatedly and
check that the wheel turns freely
after releasing the brake.
Check braking efficiency.
NOTE
COMPLETE TIGHTENING OF THE SET
SCREW «1» INDICATES BRAKE SHOE
WEAR.

RÉGLAGE DU FREIN
Mesurer la distance parcourue
par le levier avant que le frein
commence l'action de freinage.
La course à vide à l'extrémité du
levier de frein doit être d'environ
0.4 in (10 mm).
Pour régler le jeu :
Agir sur le régulateur « 1 ».
Actionner le frein à plusieurs re-
prises et contrôler que la roue
tourne librement après l'avoir re-
lâché.
Contrôler l'efficacité de freina-
ge.
