7. Macintosh Configuration
Configuring Macintosh
This section describes how to configure a Macintosh to use EtherTalk. The actual
procedures to configure a Macintosh may differ depending on the version of the
Mac OS. The following procedure describes how to configure Mac OS 8. If you
are not using Mac OS 8, see the manual that comes with your version of the Mac
OS for more information.
Basic Procedure
Change to EtherTalk
Configure the printer
Change the printer name
Change the zone

Changing to EtherTalk
Follow the procedure to configure a Macintosh to use EtherTalk.

Open [Control Panel], and then double-click the [AppleTalk] icon.

From the [Connect via:] pop-up menu, select "Ethernet".

If you change zones, select a name from the [Current zone:] pop-up menu.

Close the [AppleTalk] control panels.

Restart the computer.
