3-3 ENGINE
e Remove the clutch release arm with clutch cable O).
e Disconnect the crankcase breather hose ©.
AAWARNING
Gasoline is very explosive. Extreme care must be taken.
« Remove the engine sprocket cover.
e Remove the speed sensor gear @®.
« Remove the engine sproket bolts ©.
NOTE :
When loosening the engine sprocket nut, depress the rear
brake pedal,
e Remove the engine sprocket with drive chain.

« Remove the engine mounting bolts and dismount the engine.
ENGINE REINSTALLATION
Reinstall the engine in the reverse order of engine removal.
e Install the engine mounting bolts and apply THREAD LOCK
SUPER "1308" to the threads of three bolts.
e Tighten the bolt and nuts to the specified torque.
99000-32030 : THREAD LOCK SUPER "1303"
nut (1) : 66 N-m (6.6 kg-m}
[¥] Engine mounting Boi @): 31 Nem (3.1 kg-m)
e Loosen the rear axle nut and drive chain adjuster nuts.
« When installing the engine sprocket, face the tapered portion
of sprocket damper to the crankcase.
e Install the drive chain.
ACAUTION
The drive chain joint clip should be attached in the way
that the slit end will face opposite to the direction of
rotation. :
