tional on site specifications. All externally connected devices shall comply with the rel-
evant safety standards applicable for the place of installation.
We recommend using connecting cables and connecting terminals according to
nominal current (I
). Refer to
N
For device insulation, appropriate (voltage-proof) cables must be used. Specify
cables for the highest occurring rated voltage.
To avoid contact corrosion, we recommend the use of sealing agents for cable
glands and blanking plugs made of metal.
Use connecting cable with appropriate minimum rated temperature.
For connecting cables exposed to UV radiation (outdoor installation), use UV res-
istant cables.
For connecting electronic position transmitters, only use screened cables.
For connecting fieldbus cables or network cables, respect the cable recommenda-
tions for the respective fieldbus connection or network connection. Further inform-
ation is provided in the short instructions for fieldbus connection or network con-
nection (as far as available).
Signal and fieldbus cables or network cables are sensitive to interference. Motor
cables are interference sources.
Lay cables susceptible to interference or cables as sources of interference at a
large distance from each other.
If the cables a installed close to the ground potential, the immunity status of signal
and fieldbus cables or network cables is increased.
Lay cables in areas subject to low interference.
Avoid parallel paths with little cable distance of cables being either susceptible to
interference or interference sources.
In a residential environment, this product may cause radio interference, in which
case supplementary mitigation measures might be required.
