10. MAINTENANCE

If the barrier is put out of order for a long time, the
beam needs to be removed. Only use original FAAC
spare parts.

10.1 SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE

Carry out the operations indicated in table  Scheduled
maintenance in order to keep the barrier working reli-
ably and safely.
The table is provided as a guide only and should not
be considered exhaustive.
 13 Scheduled maintenance

If the tests listed below turn up conditions that are other than expected, repair or restoration is necessary.
Operations
Check the plinth and built/fenced parts around the automation system: make sure there is no damage,
cracking, breaks or subsidence.
Check the area in which the beam moves: make sure there are no objects/deposits that reduce the safety
clearances or obstacles that prevent the beam from moving, such as branches, overhead lines etc.
Ensure that there are no sharp protrusions which could represent a perforation or hooking hazard.
Check the hoses
Check the end stops
Check the fixing of the upright to the foundation plate
Check the presence and integrity of the reflectors on the beam and all the other signs and markings
necessary.
Check the barrier and its fixings: integrity, absence of deformation, rust etc.
Check that screws and bolts are correctly tightened.
Check the condition of the beam and that it is fastened properly.
Check the integrity and proper fixing of the spring and tie rods.
Check the configuration and the balancing of the barrier.
Check the integrity, proper functioning and adjustment of the limit switch.
Check the integrity of all the cables, cable glands and junction boxes.
Make sure that there are no oil leaks
Do a general cleaning of the barrier manoeuvre area.
Check the integrity of the upper cover.
Check that the connectors and wiring are intact.
Check that the earth connections are intact.
Check that there are no signs of overheating, burning etc. of electronic components.
Check the operation of the circuit breaker and differential switch.
Check that the installed devices and radio controls are in good condition and that they operate correctly.
B680H
The installer/machine manufacturer is responsible for
drawing up the maintenance plan, supplementing this
list or shortening maintenance intervals according to
the machine characteristics, installed components and
current local regulations.

It is prohibited to put the system back into operation
until all the safety requirements of the machine have
been restored.
