RECORDING
_English |
To record on a previously recorded MD
If there is an unrecorded section left on the MD,
the new recording automatically starts just after
the end of the previous recording. You do not have
to locate the unrecorded part or worry about
recording over the previous recording as in
cassette tapes.
lf you want to record after erasing the previous
recording
completely,
follow the procedure
described on page
74 to erase the recorded
material, then start the new recording afresh.
To prevent accidental erasure of recorded
material > ©
Arecordable MD is equipped with a record-protect
tab which prevents accidental erasure of recorded
material. Slide the tab as illustrated to protect your
MD from accidental recording.
To record on the MD again, move the tab to the
original position.
Notes
¢ You cannot record on prerecorded MDs.
¢ Do not subject the unit to strong shocks or
disconnect the power while the unit is recording
the TOC information (step 5 on page 38). If you
do so, the TOC information will not be read
properly and playback of recorded material will
not be possible.
When "NO DISC" indication comes on
There is no disc in the unit. The unit turns off after
about four seconds when you leave the unit as it
is.
When "PROTECTED" indication comes on
The record-protect tab of the disc is set to the
position for protection. The unit turns off after
about four seconds when you leave the unit as it
is.
When "PB DISC" indication comes on
You have attempted to record on an unrecordable
disc. Use a recordable one.
