Note
¢ Use only the supplied AC adaptor to charge the
rechargeable battery.
¢ When the rechargeable battery is used for the
first time or after unused fora long period of time,
the battery power may become less than normal.
In this case,
discharge
and
charge
the
rechargeable battery alternately several times.
¢ Tomaintain the performance of the rechargeable
battery, charge it at least once a year even when
it will not be used for a long period of time.
Using AC power >-@
Plug the AC adaptor into a wall outlet and connect
the cord to the DC 4.5V jack of the unit.
Note
Observe the following safety precautions when
you handle the AC adaptor.
¢ Use the supplied AC adaptor only.
¢ Disconnect the AC adaptor from the unit as well
as the wall outlet after use.
Using on dry cell batteries —®
Use two LR6 (size AA) alkaline batteries (not
supplied). The unit may not operate on manganese
batteries.
1 Attach the battery case as shown in ©®.
2 Insert the dry cell batteries into the battery
case.
(@) Open the battery case cover.
(2) Insert two LR6 (size AA) alkaline
batteries with the + and ~ ends on the
batteries as illustrated.
To remove the battery case >@©
Press and hold the RELEASE button in the arrow
direction, then pull up the battery case as illustrated.
