¢ To connect with phone jacks of a stereo system,
radio cassette etc., follows the connection ©.
¢ To connect with a stereo mini jack of a portable
CD player etc., follows the connection ©.
¢ Set the LINE/MIC switch to "LINE".
¢ Insert the plugs of the cord securely.
RECORDING
Connecting a microphone -@
You can use a plug-in-power type eiieroohone
with this unit. Connect the stereo microphone:
Aiwa CM-S3 (not supplied) to the OPTICAL IN/
LINE IN/MIC jack of this unit.
¢ Set the LINE/MIC switch to "MIC".
There may be cases where a digital input
cannot be recorded. > ©
— When a recording is attempted from a sound
source whose sampling frequency is different
from 44.1 kHz.
— Unsuitable sound sources: Satellite broadcasts,
DAT tapes which are recorded at either 32 kHz
or 48 kHz sampling frequency.
— When
digital recording is attempted
from
another digitally recorded MD: To protect the
copyrights of recorded material, digital dubbing
cannot be performed to a recordable MD from
another digitally recorded MD because of the
built-in
record
restriction function which
complies
with the SCMS
(Serial
Copy
Management System) standard.
