Service the Sprayer
1. Clean the agitation valve and the 3 section
valves; refer to Cleaning the Agitation and
Section Valves (page
2. Grease the sprayer; refer to
54).
3. Check the condition of all spray hoses.
Note:
Replace any hoses that are worn or
damaged.
4. Tighten all hose clamps and fittings.
Servicing the Engine
1. Service the air cleaner; refer to
Air-Filter Element (page
2. Change the engine-oil filter and oil; refer to

Servicing the Fuel System
1. Drain the fuel tank; refer to
Tank (page 63).
2. Prepare fuel with fuel stabilizer according to the
manufacturer's instructions, and add it to the
fuel tank.
3. Start the engine and run it at idle speed for 5
minutes.
4. Shut off the engine.
5. Secure all the fuel-system fittings.
Servicing the Battery
1. Move the machine in a clean, dry storage area.
2. Remove the battery from the chassis; refer to
Removing the Battery (page
Note:
Do not connect the battery cables to the
battery posts during storage.
3. Check the electrolyte level.
4. Fully charge the battery; refer to
Battery (page 65).
Important:
The battery must be fully
charged to prevent it from freezing and being
damaged at temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
A fully charged battery maintains its charge
for about 50 days at temperatures lower
than 4°C (40°F). If the temperatures will be
above 4°C (40°F), check the water level in the
battery and charge it every 30 days.

put the key in a safe place out of the reach of
