•
Screw the crown nut on the shielding gas lead gastight to the connecting thread (G¼").
5.1.9.3
Gas test – setting the shielding gas volume
If the shielding gas setting is too low or too high, this can introduce air to the weld pool and may cause
pores to form. Adjust the shielding gas quantity to suit the welding task!
Rule of thumb for the gas flow rate:
Diameter of gas nozzle in mm corresponds to gas flow in l/min.
Example: 7mm gas nozzle corresponds to 7l/min gas flow.
•
Press the torch trigger and set the shielding gas quantity with the flow gauge of the pressure regulator.

"Purge hose package" function
Operating ele-
ment
If the "Rinse hose package" function is not ended by pressing the "Gas and current parameters"
button again, shielding gas will flow until the gas cylinder is empty!
5.1.10 Intermediate hose package strain relief
Property damage due to strain relief not installed or not installed correctly!
The strain relief absorbs tensile forces on cables, plugs and sockets.
If strain reliefs are not installed or not installed correctly, the connector plugs or sockets may be
damaged.
•
The attachment must always take place on both sides of the intermediate hose package!
•
The connections of the hose package must be locked properly!
