Interfaces for automation
5.5.2
Automation interface
No function of the external interrupt equipment (emergency stop switch)!
If the emergency stop circuit has been set up using an external interrupt equipment
connected to the interface for automated welding, the machine must be configured for
this setup. If this is not observed, the power source will ignore the external interrupt
equipment and will not shut down!
•
Remove jumper 1 on the corresponding control board (to be done only by qualified service
personnel)!
Equipment damage due to unshielded control leads!
Unshielded control leads can cause damage to the power source and accessory components.
•
Use shielded control leads only.
The power sources satisfy an extremely high safety standard,
even in combination with peripheral devices for mechanised welding, provided these devices comply with
the same criteria, especially with regard to insulation from the mains supply.
Use safety transformers that comply with current standards.
The welding machines are ready for automated applications as standard.
For common applications, the interface for automated welding is equipped with control inputs and poten-
tial-free relay contacts.
