4.3 Positioning the air conditioner

Before installing, check that the cylin-
drical-section gasket on the base of
the air conditioner is still properly posi-
tioned inside the housing on the frame
("Fig. 8" ref. 1).
In case of a rough or uneven roof surface, coat the
opening perimeter area on which the seal provided
on the bottom of the conditioner must be applied
with a thin layer of soft sealant or a bituminous
strip. Apply the recommended amount of product.
If an excessive amount is applied, the bottom of
the air conditioner could be glued to the roof of the
vehicle, cancelling the damping effect of the seal,
with resulting propagation of noise and vibration.
This would also make it harder to remove the air
conditioner when needed, with the risk of causing
damage to the unit bottom and to the roof.
Lift the air conditioner onto the roof of the vehicle
("Fig. 8" ref. 2) without dragging it and position it
on the 395 x 395 mm opening previously treated
with sealant. When the air conditioner is correctly
aligned on the roof, the 4 threaded fixing holes will
be visible from inside the camper.
The arrow in ("Fig. 8") shows the direction of
travel of the vehicle.

Working from inside the vehicle, shift the air condi-
tioner until the four fixing threads are aligned with
the 395x395 mm square hole of the opening in
the roof.
Check that the cylindrical seal on the bottom of the
air conditioner is still placed correctly in its hous-
ing.

4.4 Connecting the power cable

Connect the previously prepared system cable to
the 230V AC power supply terminal
