TRANSPORT, HANDLING AND

STORAGE

3.1 Storage
During transport the air conditioner is protected by
suitable cardboard packaging. The air conditioner
EN
must be stored in a horizontal position in a cov-
ered, dry and ventilated area.
The packaging allows up to 5 (five) air condition-
ers to be stacked on top of each other.
Do not turn the packaging upside down.
The correct position is indicated by the
'this way up' symbol printed on the pack-
aging (↑↑).
Stacking more than 5 packaged air con-
ditioners can damage the units and put
personnel at risk of injury.

3.2 Weight

Weight of DualClima 8400H, 8400HB and 8400HN
packaging included: 45 kg.
Weight of DualClima 12500H, packaging included:
48 kg.

3.3 Handling

Observe accident prevention and safe-
ty rules during lifting, handling and
transport. Use lifting and transport
equipment with capacity exceeding the
load to be lifted.
Packaged air conditioners can be moved using
standard means of lifting and transport.

4.1 Preliminary information

If installation of the air conditioner fails to comply
with the instructions in this manual, the Manufac-
turer shall not be held liable for any malfunction-
ing or safety issues concerning the air conditioner,
pursuant to Machine Directive 2006/42/EC. More-
over, the manufacturer shall not be liable for any
resulting injury or damage.

4.2 Installation

To ensure proper installation of the air conditioner,
it is essential to first check whether the roof can
support its weight; if not, the roof must be rein-
forced. Select a sufficiently flat and level central
area of the roof and check that there are no obsta-
cles inside the vehicle that might obstruct attach-
ment of the diffuser
of cool air from the adjustable vents

The air conditioner can be installed in one of two
different ways:
• By using the ventilation openings in the vehicle
• By making a new hole.

INSTALLATION
Improper installation of the air condi-
tioner can result in irreparable damage
to the appliance and endanger the us-
er's safety.
Before climbing on top of the vehicle
check that the roof is strong enough to
be walked on. Check with the vehicle
fitter. If not, a scaffold framework will
be required.
