10. Tap the "Start calibration" key.
» Three measurements are carried out automatically. After the third measurement, a correction value is calculated
from the three measured values (Rz, Ra or RSm).

» If the correction value (new) is in the range of ±15 %, it can be applied to the device settings by tapping "OK".
» You can return to the "Calibrate" dialog by tapping "Cancel" to repeat the calibration process.
» If the correction value exceeds the above range, an error message appears. Tap "OK", check the measuring setup,

the probe, the nominal value entered and that the probe tip is vertical, and repeat the calibration.
11. Insert the standard with the lug into the notch on the bottom of the roughness measuring device ST2 and engage.

If repeated calibration attempts do not produce a viable result, the probe is probably faulty.

STARTING A MEASUREMENT

ü Roughness measuring device ST2 is switched on.
1. Press the start key.

» Measurement is performed and evaluated according to the settings.
7.2.

ESTABLISHING A BLUETOOTH CONNECTION

1. Activate Bluetooth. See Settings [} Page 68].
2. For connection with the HCT Mobile App, select "Connect to app". For connection with a computer, select "Connect to
an HID". See Settings [} Page 68].

3. Open Bluetooth settings on the computer. If applicable, open the HCT Mobile App on the end device.
4. Search for available devices nearby.
» Roughness measuring device ST2 is displayed.

5. Tap the roughness measuring device ST2 to connect.
» Bluetooth connection established.

Using the HCT App, data from the measurement tool is displayed on the end device and can be documented digitally. Meas-

urement tool and end device must be connected via Bluetooth.

1. If applicable, unlock the display by tapping the display lock key.

» The menu appears.
3. Tap the desired menu item.
