7. Fill out the remaining keys with text, if applicable.
» The text for the remaining keys can also be specified via the menu item "Record texts", see Settings [} Page 68]. The
keys "TITLE_1" to "4TH_TEXT" can each consist of up to 30 characters. The "COMMENT_0" key can contain a max-
imum of 60 characters. Any UTF-8 character set can be used for the texts.
8. Save and close "usersettings.ini".
» Customer-specific logo has been created.

PRINTING A RECORD ON A BLUETOOTH PRINTER

ü Bluetooth printer is switched on.
1. Tap "Print options" in the settings and select "Bluetooth printer".
2. Tap "Search".
» The "Bluetooth printer" is displayed.
3. Tap "OK".
4. Select printer settings. See Settings [} Page 68].
5. Press "Print" key.
» The record will be printed.

PRINTING A RECORD ON A USB PRINTER

ü USB printer is switched on.
1. Connect the USB-A cable to the roughness measuring device ST2.
2. Connect the USB cable to the USB printer.
3. Tap "Print options" in the settings and select "USB printer".
4. Select printer settings. See Settings [} Page 68].
5. Press "Print" key.
» The record will be printed.

TRANSFERRING DATA TO A SMARTPHONE OR COMPUTER

8.4.1.

Transferring data to the HCT Mobile App via Bluetooth

ü Device connected to the HCT app via Bluetooth.
1. All settings and data are transferred automatically to the app.
2. History can be exported as a CSV or PDF file via the app.
8.4.2.

Transferring data to an HID via Bluetooth

ü HID connected to roughness measuring device ST2 via Bluetooth. See Establishing a Bluetooth connection [} Page 68].
1. Start measurement.
» Measurement values are output automatically at the current position of the HID cursor.
8.4.3.

Transferring data to a computer via USB cable

1. Connect device to computer via USB cable and switch on.
» Device is detected as a data carrier.
2. Transfer data to the computer from the device. The data is available in the following folders:
"Export" for measuring results in CSV format
"Profiles" for profiles in the formats TXT or X3P
"Records" for records in PDF format
"Results" for profiles with results in MQEP format
8.4.4.

Transferring measuring results with "MarCom Professional" software

1. Connect data cable (article no. 498941 USB2) to Duplex interface of the roughness measuring device ST2.
2. Connect data cable to USB interface of the computer.
3. Switch on roughness measuring device ST2.
4. Tap "Bluetooth / Duplex" in the settings.
5. Select "Duplex".
6. Launch "MarCom Professional" software in the computer.
7. Configure the following settings in the "MarCom Professional" software and press OK to confirm:
» Under "Device", select the roughness measuring device ST2.
» Under "Data request via", select the trigger to be used to start the measurements on the roughness measuring
device ST2.
» Under the "Advanced settings" tab, the tolerance limits for all of the parameters can be entered and sent to the
roughness measuring device ST2.
» Under the "Transfer to" tab, enter the desired destination application.
