Operating modes

8.1.1

Automatic mode

In automatic mode, the device is switched in continuous operation. To start the automatic operation, proceed as follows:
• Press "Auto" on the controller's operator panel.
The automatic mode "Auto" LED illuminates to visually signal continuous operation. The controller monitors the makeup functions.
8.1.2

Manual mode

Manual mode is used to test the functions during commissioning and to service the device. Selecting the functions depends on the set
make-up variant, "Levelcontrol" or "Magcontrol".
The following functions can be selected manually:
– Manual activation and deactivation of the "PU" pump with "Levelcontrol" variant.
– Manual activation and deactivation of the "PU" pump or "Filling with "Magcontrol" variant.
To start the manual operation, proceed as follows:
1. Press "Manual" on the controller's operator panel.
– The "Auto" LED at the operator panel flashes to visually indicate that Manual mode is active.
– "PU" flashes at the display as a visual signal for the "Levelcontrol' make-up variant.
– "PU" and "Fill" flash at the display as a visual signal for the "Magcontrol' make-up variant.
Proceed as follows:
2. At the controller's operator panel, use the arrow keys to select the "PU" pump or "Fill" function.
3. Press "OK" at the controller's operator panel to switch on the "PU" pump or "FIll" function.
– The controller displays "PU !" or "Fill !" as a visual signal of the pump being active.
4. Press "OK" at the controller's operator panel to switch off the "PU" pump or "FIll" function.
– The controller displays "PU" or "Fill" as a visual signal of the pump being deactivated.
Note!
The controller calculates the pressure required for filling. As soon as this value has been attained, the controller
automatically stops the filling process.
Note!
Manual operation can not be performed if safety-relevant parameters are exceeded.
– Switching is blocked if safety-relevant parameters are exceeded.
