TROUBLESHOOTING
What
appears
to be a trouble is not always a real
trouble. Make sure first... .
. Power cannot be turned on.
Is the power switch of the amplifier set to ON?
. When
PLAY
button is pressed, it does not re-
main engaged but is soon released.
Is the tape entirely wound?
. Tape moves but no sound is heard.
Are
all
connections
properly
and_
securely
made?
Is the
MONITOR
switch of the stereo deck
set to the TAPE position?

switch of the stereo amplifier
set to the TAPE position?
Is the OUTPUT
LEVEL control set to MIN?
Is the volume
control of the amplifier set to

4. MUSIC

operation does
not function
properly. Or, tape stops in the
middle of a tune.

5. Sound quality is poor.
(High frequencies are not obtained.)
Are the positions of the NR SYSTEM switches

for both recording and playback of
the same tape?

. Wiedergabetaste

gedriickt,
verbleibt
jedoch
nicht in dieser Stellung, sondern lést sich.
Ist das Band vollkommen aufgewickelt?
. Band lauft, jedoch kein Ton hérbar.
Wurden alle Anschilsse ordnungsgema ausgefuhrt?

5. Tonqualitat ist schlecht.
(Die hohen Frequenzen kommen nicht heraus).

DETECTION DE PANNE
Ce qui apparait étre une panne n'est pas toujours une vraie
panne. Assurez-vous en d'abord....
1. L'alimentation ne peut pas étre mise en circuit.

L'interrupteur
d'alimentation
de | 'amplificateur
est-il
rég/é sur la position ON?
2. Lorsque la touche PLAY est enfoncée, elle ne reste pas
engagée et elle se déclenche aussitdt.
La bande est-elle entiérement embobinée?
3. La bande défile, mais aucun son n'est entendu.

Tous les branchements sont-ils correctement faits?
* Le commutateur MONITOR
de Ia platine stéréo est-il
sur TAPE?
Le commutateur
MONITOR
de I'amplificateur stéréo
est-i/ placé sur TAPE?
Le réglage du niveau de sortie (OUTPUT LEVEL) n'est-i/
pas réglé au minimum?
La commande
de volume de I'amplificateur est-elle sur
MIN?
4. Les dispositifs de recherche
musicale ou de recherche
indéxée ne fonctionnent pas correctement. Ou la bande
s'arréte au milieu d'un morceau.

5. La qualité sonore est mauvaise.
(Les hautes fréquences ne sont pas obtenues.)
Les positions du sélecteur NR
SYSTEM
sont-elles les
mémes pour l'enregistrement et la lecture?
Les tétes sont-elles sales?
* La téte d'enregistrement/lecture est-elle magnétisée?
* La bande est-elle complétement usée?
. Il est impossible d'effectuer un enregistrement.
Les branchements sont-ils faits correctement?
Les tétes sont-elles sales?
Les languettes de sécurité sont-elles enlevées?
. L'enregistrement précédent ne peut pas étre compléte-
ment effacé.
La téte d'effacement est-elle sale?
8. Du fait que fa vitesse de défilement de la bande est
irréguliére, du pleurage et scintillement se produisent.
Le galet-presseur ou /e cabestan est-il sale?
