9.2 CIM/CIU 500 BACnet IP

You can detect faults in CIM/CIU 500 by observing the status of the two communication LEDs.
9.2.1 LED status: The CIU 500 is fitted in a Grundfos booster system.
9.2.1.1 Both LEDs remain off when the power supply is connected.
Cause
The CIM/CIU is fitted incorrectly in the connected Grundfos product.
The CIM/CIU is defective.
9.2.1.2 The LED2 for internal communication is flashing red.
Cause
There is no internal communication between the CIM/CIU and the
connected Grundfos product.
9.2.1.3 The LED2 for internal communication is permanently red.
Cause
The CIM/CIU does not support the connected Grundfos product.
9.2.1.4 The LED1 for BACnet communication is permanently red.
Cause
There is fault in the CIM 500 BACnet IP configuration.
9.2.1.5 The LED1 is permanently red and green at the same time.

There is error in the firmware download.

Remedy
• Set the booster system to bus control by setting the Present_Value
of BO 0 to 1.
• Set bus control on the CU 35X display. Select "Settings" >
"Secondary functions" > "Control source", and select "Controlled
from bus".
Remedy
• Make sure that the GENIbus cable between the CIM/CIU 300 and
the booster system is connected correctly.
• Make sure that the booster system is switched on and able to
communicate on the GENIbus.
Remedy
• Ensure that the CIM/CIU is fitted and connected correctly.
• Replace the CIM/CIU.

• Make sure that the CIM/CIU is fitted correctly in the Grundfos
product.

• Contact the nearest Grundfos company.
