8. Commissioning of hardware: step-by-step setup

8.1 CIM 300

Step
Action
Fit the CIM 300 in the CU 352 of the Hydro MPC or in the CU 323 of the Hydro Multi-B booster system. With a Multi-E system, using MGE motors

model H or later, the CIM 300 is installed in the master pump (typically where the system sensors are attached). Secure the module with screws.

Complete the booster configuration, for example, the sensor configuration, via the operating panel or the PC Tool.

Select the BACnet MAC address (0-127) on the CIM 300.

Select the transmission speed of the CIM 300.

Select the Device Object Instance Number.

If necessary, set the line termination.
7
Connect the necessary cables from the CIM 300 to the BACnet network.
8
Confirm that the GENIbus LED is permanently green and that the BACnet LED is either off or flashing green, indicating communication.
The CIM 300 is now configured and ready.

8.3 CIM 500

Action

Install the CIM 500 in the Grundfos booster system according to the booster system documentation.

Select position 2 at the protocol rotary switch. See section Setting the industrial Ethernet protocol.

Power on the booster system, and observe the LED2 turning permanently green and the LED1 remaining off.
Complete the booster system configuration, for example, the sensor configuration, and selection of local Operating mode, local Control mode and

local Setpoint, for example, with the Grundfos GO.

Connect one of the CIM 500 Ethernet ports (RJ45) to a PC using an Ethernet cable.
Configure the PC Ethernet port to the same subnetwork as that of the CIM 500, for example 192.168.1.1, and the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0.

Open your internet browser, and make contact to the CIM 500 webserver.
