Problem of Internal Devices and Other Hardware

[?] Unable to access/operate the internal or external devices
Are cables properly connected?
 Make sure that the interface cables and power cord are properly connected. Also make sure that
the cables are connected in the correct order.
Is the power-on order correct?
 When the server has any external devices connected, power on the external devices first, then the
server.
Did you install drivers for connected optional devices?
 Some optional devices require specific device drivers. Refer to the manual that comes with the
device to install its driver.
Are BIOS settings correct?
 When the CPU blade has PCI devices connected, set the PCI device interrupt and others with
BIOS Setup Utility of the CPU blade. Some PCI devices require specific settings. Refer to the
manual that comes with the device for details.
Advanced  PCI Device  PCI IRQ xx
 Some devices connected to the serial or USB port require I/O port address or operation mode
settings. Refer to the manual that comes with the device for details.
Advanced  Peripheral Configuration
Is an optional board setting correct?
 Some PCI boards require special settings. Refer to the manual that comes with the board for
details.
 Some devices connected to the serial or parallel port, or USB port require I/O port address or
operation mode settings. Refer to the manual that comes with the device.

Is the cable properly connected?
 Make sure that the cable is connected to the connector on the front or rear of the server.
Are BIOS settings correct?
 Check the following BIOS settings with BIOS Setup Utility.

[?] Unable to access a solid state drive
Is the solid state drive applicable to the CPU blade?
 Operation of any device that is not authorized by NEC is not supported.
Is the solid state drive properly installed?
 The solid state drive is not connected to the internal connector when it is not completely installed.
