After applying power to the Decoder unit, check to make sure that you are
using the correct sensor for the film type you are using by pressing the
MODE key. The active sensor will be shown in the front panel display.

To select a different sensor, press the SHIFT + MODE keys until the
desired sensor is displayed.

In addition you need to select whether you are reading from negative or
print film stock. This is accomplished using the SETUP menu. To enter
the front panel SETUP menus, press the SETUP key. Press the down
arrow key ($) until you have selected the type menu item. If the film type
is incorrect, press the % key to select other film type. When you have
made the desired change, press the SETUP key to return to the normal
display mode. (See sections 3.2 and 3.3 for more information about the
SETUP menu system).
