Fault 65: Speed Stall—CRM 1
Note:
When any individual cutting reel motor is shut off due to a fault, the TEC-5002 shuts off the other 4
cutting reel motors.
Note:
If multiple machine faults are reported within a few seconds, troubleshooting should begin with the
first cutting reel motor to report a fault.
Note:
This fault can occur during heavy cutting conditions or as a result of a cutting unit malfunction. Ask the
machine operator for information regarding cutting conditions when the fault occurred.

Fault Description
The cutting reel motor on cutting unit 1 stalled.
Circuit Description
All 5 cutting reel motors and the motor/generator are linked on the 48 Vdc CAN bus circuit.
Conditions for Setting the Fault
If the cutting reel motor is active, yet remains at 0 rpm for more than 3 seconds, the fault is reported.
Note:
Check for fault 70 (High Temp Warning—CRM 1), as an overheated cutting reel motor or a cutting reel
motor stall could be a contributing factor to a stall speed fault.
Recommended Service Actions
Step 1: Verify that the fault repeats.

Fail
The fault repeated. Go to Step 2.
Step 2: Check cutting unit 1 for any debris clogging the reel.

Contact with the cutting reels or other moving parts can result in personal injury.

Keep fingers, hands, and clothing away from the cutting reels or other moving parts.
•
Never attempt to turn the cutting reels by hand while the engine is running.
