Fault 76: 48V Key Switch Undervolt—CRM 1
Important:
For this fault, the term "key switch" refers to the 48 Vdc logic power circuit, not to the
ignition switch.
Note:
When any individual cutting reel motor is shut off due to a fault, the TEC-5002 shuts off the other 4
cutting reel motors.
Note:
If multiple machine faults are reported within a few seconds, troubleshooting should begin with the
first cutting reel motor to report a fault.
InfoCenter Display:
Fault Description
A key switch undervoltage fault is reported when the cutting reel motor measures a logic voltage lower than
32 Vdc.
Circuit Description
Each cutting unit has an electric cutting reel motor that contains an internal controller. The internal controller
measures 48 Vdc logic power, and the electric cutting reel motor measures 48 Vdc bus power.
If only 1 cutting reel motor is reporting a key switch undervolt fault, the problem is more likely to be with the 48
Vdc logic power connection to that cutting reel motor.
If more than 1 cutting reel motor is reporting a key switch undervolt fault, the problem is more likely to be
with the 48 Vdc bus voltage.
Conditions for Setting the Fault
Cutting reel motor 1 detects that the 48 Vdc logic voltage is below the minimum of 32 Vdc and reports this fault.
Recommended Service Actions
Step 1: Verify that the fault repeats.
1.
Clear the system faults from the InfoCenter. Refer to
2.
Operate the machine.
Pass
The fault did not repeat. Go to
Note:
If the fault does not repeat, an isolated event has occurred.
Fail
The fault repeated. Go to Step 2.
Step 2: Determine the troubleshooting strategy.
If only 1 cutting reel motor is reporting a key switch undervolt fault, the problem is more likely to be with the
48 Vdc logic power connection to that cutting reel motor. Go to Step 3.
