Fault 4: Input Pull-Up Enable (IPE) Voltage
Too Low

Fault Description
Inputs for the TEC-5002 controller are bad. The Input Enable Pull-up (IPE) check on the TEC-5002 has failed.
Circuit Description
The internal TEC-5002 input pull-ups are not being properly powered.
Conditions for Setting the Fault
If the input pull-ups are not being properly powered on the circuit board for the TEC-5002 controller, the inputs
and outputs do not function and the TEC-5002 reports a fault 4.
Recommended Service Actions
Step 1: Verify that the fault repeats.

The fault did not repeat. Go to

If the fault does not repeat, an isolated event has occurred.
Fail
The fault repeated. Go to Step 2.
Because the TEC-5002 controller is a solid-state component, there is no method to test it directly. The
TEC-5002 may be damaged if you attempt to test it with electrical test equipment, such as a digital multimeter.
Step 2: Replace the TEC.
Note:
TEC controllers are programmed to specific machine model and serial numbers. TEC controllers do not
function until programmed by Toro DIAG.
