Step 4: Remove the controller from the motor/generator.
Remove the controller from the motor/generator. Refer to Chapter 5 of the 5010-H Service Manual.
Step 5: Inspect the wiring between the motor/generator and the
controller.
The motor/generator and the controller each have cabling that connects to the other component. Inspect the
wiring between the controller and the motor/generator.
Pass
The wiring between the controller and the motor/generator passed inspection. Go to Step 6.
Fail
The wiring between the controller and the motor/generator did not pass inspection. Only repair
wiring that has worn insulation or a recessed connector pin. Replace all components that have
damaged, burned, or broken wiring. Go to
the steps listed.
Step 6: Replace the motor/generator controller.
Install a replacement controller onto the existing motor/generator. Refer to Chapter 5 of the 5010-H Service
Manual and follow the steps listed.
Step 7: Install the motor/generator assembly.
Refer to Chapter 5 of the 5010-H Service Manual and follow the steps listed.
Step 8: Use Toro DIAG to program the motor/generator.

Remove the access panel from the outer cover of the control arm.

Connect a PC with Toro DIAG software to the machine via a Toro DIAG Cable (Part No. 115-1944). Refer
to
Toro DIAG - Quick Start (page

Use the Toro DIAG software to reprogram the machine in accordance with Toro DIAG User's Guide. The
replacement motor/generator is programmed during the reprogramming of the machine.
4.
Disconnect the Toro DIAG cable from the machine.

Install the access panel onto the outer cover of the control arm.
