Fault 73: High Temp Warning—CRM 4
Note:
When any individual cutting reel motor is shut off due to a fault, the TEC-5002 shuts off the other 4
cutting reel motors.
Note:
If multiple machine faults are reported within a few seconds, troubleshooting should begin with the
first cutting reel motor to report a fault.
InfoCenter Display:
Fault Description
A high temperature warning exists for cutting reel motor 4.
Circuit Description
Temperature sensors monitor components inside the cutting reel motor to protect them from high temperature
damage. The cutting reel motor controller reduces the current to the cutting reel motor in response to the rising
temperature, which eventually stops the cutting reel motor if the temperature keeps rising.
Note:
A side effect of this fault is reduced reel speed and increased chance of a fault 68, Speed Stall—CRM 4.
Conditions for Setting the Fault
This fault is triggered when an excessive load on the cutting reel motor causes the temperature inside the
cutting reel motor to exceed 194 °F (90 °C). If the temperature inside the cutting reel motor reaches 212 °F
(100 °C), the cutting reel motor is shut off.
Note:
A faulty temperature sensor in the cutting reel motor does not cause this fault.
