10.6.4 Rebuild Function

The rebuild function rebuilds RAID1. This function performs rebuilding while the OS is
inactive, so you can complete the rebuild processing faster than while the OS is active. Use this
function when you do not want to run the OS or when you want to reduce the maintenance time.
< NOTE >
・Use this function only after completing any necessary tasks such as replacing a
failed drive.
・Rebuilding is only possible for a combination of a drive in an "ONLINE" state and
a drive in a "New" or "REBUILD" state. For drives in other states, rebuilding is
unavailable and you cannot select the function from the menu window.
・If you cancel rebuilding for some reason after it starts, the drive being rebuilt can
be reused as an initialized drive by using the drive initialization function (see
"10.6.7 Drive Initialization Function"). If you try to start the equipment after
canceling rebuilding, it might not start or data in the drive might be lost.
・The following table shows guidelines for rebuilding time.
