10.6.2 Starting and Stopping the Software RAID Utility
To start or stop the software RAID utility, carry out the following procedure.
(1) How to start
1. Turn on the equipment, and before the OS starts, insert the first (disc number: 1/3) of
the "HITACHI HJ-656x-***B/T Product Recovery DVD" recovery DVDs that come
with the product into the DVD drive. (The underlined part shows the model of the
purchased equipment).
2. When you start the equipment from the recovery DVD, the following window
appears.
(NOTE) If you cannot start the equipment from the recovery DVD, turn it off and then

window of the software RAID utility then appears.
