Installation and commissioning

This chapter describes mounting, installation, connection, and commissioning of the
AMS 6300 SIS Overspeed Protection System and the requirements on the trigger wheel
together with the required arrangement of the sensors at the trigger wheel.
4.1

Mounting of the system

The steps below describe the mounting of the AMS 6300 SIS system.

Prerequisites
You will need the following equipment to assemble the rack and mount it in a cabinet:
Philips screwdriver size PH1 for mounting the backplane
Suitable Phillips screwdriver for mounting the System Rack with the cage nuts into the
cabinet
Suitable flathead screwdriver (for example 3.5 x 0.6 x 100 mm) for the terminal blocks
Procedure
1. If the A6371/xx backplane is not already screwed on the rear of the A6352 19"
