SFP+ Ports

The GS970EMX/10 Switch has one SFP+ port. The GS970EMX/20,
GS970EMX/28, and GS970EMX/52 Switches have two SFP+ ports. The
ports support the following types of 1Gbps SFP and 10Gbps SFP+
transceivers:
1Gbps SFP 1000Base-SX/LX transceivers
1Gbps SFP 1000Base-LX single-port BiDi transceivers
1Gbps SFP 1000Base-ZX transceivers
10Gbps SFP+ 10GBase-SR/LR fiber optic transceivers
10Gbps SFP+ 1-meter SP10TW1 and 3-meter SP10TW3 direct
connect twinax cables with SFP+ transceiver-style connectors
10Gbps SFP+ single-port BiDi transceivers
SP10TM 1/2.5/5/10Gbps copper port transceiver
You can use the ports to connect switches to other network devices over
large distances, build a high-speed backbone network between network
devices, or connect high-speed devices, such as servers, to your network.
Note
The SFP+ ports do not support 100Mbps 100Base-FX transceivers.
Note
The ports support full-duplex mode only.
Note
SFP and SFP+ transceivers are sold separately. Refer to the
product's data sheet for a list of supported transceivers.
Note
The switches do not support the 7-meter SFP+ SP10TW7 direct
connect twinax cable.
