Power and Internal Cables Check
The power and internal cables check includes the following:
l Check whether the connection of power and grounding cables are appropriate. Also
check power polarities.
l
Check whether the plug-in units are inserted in properly.
l
Check whether jumpers of each card are connected properly.
l
Check whether the cables are connected properly.
l
Check whether the boot version of each card is correct.
Other Checks
Other checks include the following:
l
Equipment labels must be correct, complete, and clear.
l
The quantity of plug-in units is correct.
l
All power switches are set to OFF.
l Fuses meet the specifications.
l
Equipment are grounded properly and the grounding resistance meet technical
specifications.
l
Make sure that there is no short circuit.

6.2.2 Power-ON Process

Power-ON process includes the initial power-ON process and daily power-ON process.
Initial Power-ON Process
The initial power-ON process is as follows:
1. Ensure that all the switches are OFF.
2. Use a multimeter to measure resistance of the busbar to confirm whether any
short-circuit exists between the power supply (-48 V) and the ground (GND, GNDP,
-48 V GND). Make sure that GND, GNDP, and -48 V GND are connected.
3. In case of zero load, check the external power input end of the cabinet with the
multimeter. Measure the voltage of the primary power supply. Confirm that it is within
the permitted voltage range.
4. Turn ON the external power. Turn OFF the power immediately in case of any trouble.
Power ON the device again after eliminating the trouble.
5. Turn ON the power distributor. Turn OFF the power immediately in case of any trouble.
Power ON the device again after eliminating the trouble.
6. Plug in all the cards.
7. Turn ON the power. Turn OFF the power immediately in case of any trouble. Power
ON the device again after eliminating the trouble.
