11. Troubleshooting
Problem
Stand
The microscope does not respond.
Illumination
The image is completely dark.
The image is unevenly or not uniformly
illuminated.
The illumination "flickers."

Cause/Remedy
Make sure that voltage is available.
Make sure that the stand is connected to the
power supply.
Check the cable connections.
Check whether the fuse is defective and re-
place it if necessary (→ p. 65).
Transmitted light:
Ensure that the lamp in the integrated trans-
mitted light illumination is not defective.
Lamp replacement → p. 20f
Fluorescence:
Open the shutter (→ p. 54).
Make sure that the lamps are connected to
the power supply and that they are not defec-
tive.
Lamp replacement → p. 23ff
Inform Leica Service and have the supply unit
fuse checked.
Remove all unneeded filters from the light
path.
Center the lamp (106 z lamp housing) (→ p. 36ff).
Replace the old lamp (→ p. 23ff).
Be sure that there is no loose connection at
the power supply.
Replace the old lamp (→ p. 20f, 23f).
