8. Operation

8.7 Light Sources

Transmitted Light
For Leica DM2000:
• Adjust the brightness with the dial (57.1).
For Leica DM2500:
• Adjust the brightness with the dial (58.1).
The numbers on the dial are not absolute values,
but are intended to enable reproducible set-
tings. The maximum value is about 12 V, the
marking point of a color temperature of approx.
3200 K.
Note:
The
HI PLAN xx SL
HI PLAN CY xx SL
(Synchronized Light) objective lines permit ob-
jectives to be changed without adjusting the
light intensity.

• Switch on the lamp at the external power unit.
Caution!
Keep the lamp housing at least 10 cm away
from the wall, curtains, wallpaper, books and
other combustible objects!
