Configure gas pipe for proper operation and avoid issues
with failure to light or maintenance of proper flame during
operation, which could cause error codes related to flame
signal.
• Incoming pipe size and pressures shall be sufficient for
all gas appliances in t he building. See Chart next page or
reference NFPA- 54.
• Use only properly rated and certified materials for gas pipe.
• Use of Schedule 40 m et allic pipe and Corrugat ed St ainless-
St eel Tubing ( CSST) is m anufact urer recom m ended for
best perform ance.

• Use of Gas Appliance Connectors (flexible connectors
t ypically used for gas st oves or wat er heat ers) is
prohibit ed. Refer t o nat ional and local building codes.
• Each fitting in the gas supply pipe shall count as 5
equivalent feet .
• There shall be sufficient gas pressure at the boiler per gas
used and appliance rat ing plat e.
• For LP applicat ions t here shall be no less t han 10 linear
feet of properly sized gas pipe excluding fittings from the
closest regulat or or m et er in t he gas supply piping.
