Before m aking connect ions, verify appliance is
disconnect ed from power supply. Respect t he input
polarity on t erm inal block M1: L ( LI NE) - N ( NEUTRAL) .

8 .1 General

Elect rically bond boiler t o ground in accordance wit h
requirem ent s of aut horit y having j urisdict ion. Refer t o:
• USA- Nat ional Elect rical Code, ANSI / NFPA 70.
• Canada - Canadian Elect rical Code, Part I , CSA C22.1:
Safet y St andard for Elect rical I nst allat ions.
• I nst all all wiring in accordance wit h requirem ent s of
Nat ional Elect rical Code and any addit ional nat ional, st at e,
or local code requirem ent s having j urisdict ion.
• I n Canada, inst allat ion m ust conform t o CSA C22.1
Canadian Elect rical Code Part 1 and any local codes.
• All wiring shall be N.E.C. Class 1.
• Boiler shall be elect rically grounded in accordance wit h t he
Nat ional Elect rical Code, ANSI / NFPA No. 70- lat est edit ion.
• Boiler requires a 120V 60Hz power supply. Ensure elect rical
supply is polarized.
• There shall only be one com m on isolat or, providing
com plet e elect rical isolat ion, for boiler and any ext ernal
cont rols. Using PVC insulat ed cable 12 AWGx3C 221° F
( 105 º C) .

8 .2 Elect rica l Connect ions

• Boiler requires 120V 60Hz power supply. Verify elect rical
supply is polarized.
• Boiler shall be grounded and on dedicat ed circuit .
• Shall be one com m on isolat or, providing elect rical isolat ion
for boiler and any ext ernal cont rols. Using PVC insulat ed
cable 18 AWGx3C 221° F ( 105° C) . ( Ground boiler wit h non
spliced wire.)
• All wiring m ust be inst alled in accordance wit h
requirem ent s of t he Nat ional Elect rical Code and any
addit ional nat ional, st at e, or local code requirem ent s
having j urisdict ion. All wiring m ust be N.E.C. Class 1.
• Canada, inst allat ion m ust conform t o CSA C22.1 Canadian
Elect rical Code Part 1 and any local codes.
• I f replacing original boiler wiring use only TEW 105° C or
equivalent .
• If appliance is connected to in floor system, install limit
t herm ost at t o prevent lat t er from overheat ing.
